The iPhone (and iPod touch) software update released on September 9th, version 3.1, added some new features and bug fixes.
I was also happy to find that on top of all the other enhancements in 3.1, Safari, the web browser on the iPhone, learned one small new trick.
You can now close all of the “tabs”:
