Apple has made it just as simple on the iPhone:
Unfortunately there’s still no solution for the MobileMe aliases. You can’t even reply using the alias, let alone compose.
I don’t have MobileMe, so I can’t say for sure, but I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to configure MobileMe manually, and then configure the aliases the sames way I did.
On my iPhone at least, it isn’t possible to type a comma into the ‘address’ field directly on the iPhone, but it is possible to do a copy/paste from another field as a workaround.
Yes, I neglected to mention that.
[...] use multiple aliases for a given email address on your iPhone? But yes, you can. Here’s the solution for this very request, via [...]
I think MobileMe users lose the Push option with IMAP however.
This is also not possible if you use the Google Mail, Calendars, Contacts Exchange option unfortunately.
Also: besides the must-paste-commas thing, you can only do this by modifying the settings of an existing account. If you try to add multiple addresses while setting up an account for the first time, it’ll throw an invalid address error.
It also appears as though this might not work with Google Apps for your Domain addresses, ∵ when I tried copy-and-pasting an additional address into the field it threw a username error(assumedly thinking the two usernames were one). FWIW, This is a GAFYD IMAP account. In any case, thanks for the tip!
